Alice and Alex came from England to get married in Porto, choosing Palácio do Freixo for their wedding day.
Although they had already chosen me as their photographer, we met in person for lunch in Porto during one of the weekends they travelled here to plan the wedding. It was simply a chance to sit down together, talk and put faces to names. What followed was an unhurried conversation that stretched naturally (three whole hours), giving us space to get to know each other beyond logistics and timelines.
That time mattered. Not because it changed decisions, but because it confirmed them. It created ease, familiarity and a shared understanding of how the day would be approached.
Palácio do Freixo, a 18th-century baroque building designed by Nicolau Nasoni and set along the Douro River, provided a structured and elegant setting for the day. The beauty of Palácio do Freixo provided an exceptional backdrop for the day and for the photographs. The energy remained calm throughout, and everything flowed with ease from beginning to end.
