Ali and Sam brought their wedding to Provence, at Chateau de Paon. Friends and family arrived from the US, I came from Portugal, and for a few days that was simply where everyone belonged.

From the welcome dinner through the wedding day, everything unfolded naturally. Moments happened without being forced, conversations stretched out and everyone seemed comfortable letting the day take its own shape.

Ali and Sam were a joy to work with - open, calm, fully present and completely trusting, which extended to everyone around them. Their guests were warm in that immediate, genuine way that makes a photographer feel less like an outsider and more like part of the room.

This weekend in Arles truly was special.
