I first met Kaylee in Arles, at Ali and Sam's wedding in Provence, where she was the bride's best friend. 9 months later, our paths crossed again, this time in Palm Springs, where she and Michael brought their own wedding celebration to Cache Estate.
It was lovely to see Ali and Sam again, too. What had started as one wedding in the south of France had somehow brought us all together once more, this time on the other side of the Atlantic.
Over two days, friends and family came together to celebrate. It was my first time photographing a wedding in California, and Palm Springs certainly made an impression. The heat was intense, but the atmosphere was always warm in a different way. People were welcoming, conversations came easily and there was a genuine sense of friendship throughout the weekend.
From one familiar celebration to a new place and a new story, this wedding felt like a lovely continuation of something that had started in Arles for me.
Palm Springs, California. A weekend I'll remember.
